Long article from the NY Times but I think it’s worth reading.

If you’re 16 and pregnant and you didn’t tell your parents yet, Target is going to find out first!

Yesterday I went to Target buying a storage unit and when the receipt was printing, it printed out a tag with “To: ___, From: ___”

That day, I also bought green beans and salmon from Target. I guess Target thought the storage unit was a gift because all I buy are cleaning supplies, protein bars, and groceries and they’re pretty much the only coupons Target has sent me.  I do go to Starbucks at Target too, and I also get Starbucks coupons from the register. Craziness!

Any coupons Target has sent you lately?

As you can see the red is where we started and we pretty much loops around. The yellow pin where it branches off from the loop is when we reached the top of the peak. NICE!

Also bought Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Natural Apple Pie.

These take and bake pies from the Julian Pie Company are amazing and I highly recommend you buy those so you can have a fresh warm pie when you arrive at home versus buy the pie baked and go home and it becomes cold.

They also do Fedex.

I cracked my phone and I had the hardest time pressing the keyboard. It was so frustrating! I never text anymore nor did I update my blog via smart phone. Instead of texting, I was on a laptop or a desktop to send gchats or e-mails or Facebook messages to my friends. Most likely I would NOT reply to your text messages or you would get some messages or “Go gt lnch” or “Ys” — you see, I try to make them as short as possible.

Today I get my upgrade .

Every single person’s identity begins with their name (which makes sense as it is in fact, you know, your identity). Every single name also holds a certain unwritten connotation to it. For instance name your kid Apple, and well, we’re all going to think you’re kind of fruity. (Ha Pun!). Name your kid Hubert, we’re going to assume he’s a nerd (or 95 years old).

This is probably one of the funniest post I've read in a long time! I agree, your name does mean everything. If were to have a kid--don't have a name yet but I know for sure I wouldn't name it Kim because I don't want people to think of whores and dictators. I guess my name is pretty neutral... Actually wait! Julie is a blonde name or actually...most Julie's are blondes and Julia's are brunettes. As a brunette, people sure like to call me "Julia" rather than Julie. What would you NOT name your kid and why?

NEET – Not in Education, Employment or Training.

I’m so happy I bought a subscription to NYTimes (Psst…that was how I got the Nook for free ) and I love learning new words and acronyms that sheds light on a story.  I enjoy reading the newspaper through my morning carpool and my 9:30 break. In the break room people like to come in and out asking me what I’m reading I started their morning saying “you think our economy is bad? Look at Spain–their unemployment rate for 16-24 year old are almost 50%! Ours is only 18%!” That’s how I get the conversation rolling.

I don’t think Europe’s situation is too much different from America’s situation. People who didn’t go to college right after high school makes career options very, very limited. Don’t know why people decide to not go to college or even community college or take up some form of trade after high school. I wonder if they think the world would come to them after high school so they didn’t bother with learning trade. After my bachelors, I sure didn’t think the world came to me.
