Hey, bloggers! The theme for May blogging is LOOK UP. This is the perfect theme for the Google lovers and reference librarians among us who love to look up and share nuggets of knowledge both legendary and obscure.
Photo bloggers will find it’s a flexible theme as well (or just a good excuse to post 31 days of cloud photos).
And of course anyone finding themselves feeling depressed at the state of the world may help us all by posting about what they and others are doing to reverse the damage; in other words, maybe things are looking up after all.

I’m kind of curious so I thought I should participate. Oh…I hope I survive posting on a daily basis.

My bus stop is right by Salk Institute.

This statue kind of looks like a poliovirus–after all, Salk did develop the poliovirus vaccine

Everytime I am back in LA, looking at this view from my former college apartment building sure makes me nostalgic. It is the tallest building in this neighborhood. Even though it wasn’t the best looking apartment inside and out, it did have the best view overlooking Westwood and UCLA.

Arrived in LA at 1 am. Thank you Nassim for letting me stay in your room and thank you Nataly for letting me borrow your mattress.
This weekend was the LA Times Festival of Books but I did not spend too much time because I went out for lunch with my parents and sister and spent the rest of the afternoon with them.
